GENERAL SUMMARY:
Perform duties related to Plumbing & Firefighting engineering projects involving the planning, execution, construction and inspection of major chilled water projects for commercial facilities. Responsible for overall execution of the assigned project work.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
-Responsible for efficient execution of the project such as planning and implementation of the project right from the inception to the delivery of the project.
-Coordinate and manage with consultant on reviews for drawings and PL & FF related designs
-Read and comprehend the Project specifications as per the requirement
-Check the design and calculate the capacities and dimensions of the equipment and delegate the responsibilities to the site staff and record and log all changes into field drawings
-Responsible for floating the enquiries, selecting the equipment as per the specifications and negotiating with the manufacturer for the equipment
-Facilitate the manufacturing clearance to subcontractor for the required materials and manage the procurement process.
-Ensure that contractor understands the contract documents including drawings, specifications, phase plans, PL & FF systems interrelationships, workflow & schedule
-Direct, monitor & control contractor activities
-Responsible for preparing and maintaining the budget of the project work order and verifying bill of quantities
-Ensure subcontractors, engineers, foremen and other staff adhere with relevant Quality records /regulations including safety
-Monitor & report work progress to the Projects Manager.
-Review weekly/ monthly progress of the project work prior to invoicing
-Accountable for testing and assisting in commissioning the installation of PL & FF systems.
-Responsible for Authority Approval from the Government authorities such as MPW, MEW, Kuwait Fire Department, etc.
