An excellent opportunity is available for a Head of Operational Risk role to join a well established bank in Kuwait. This role is responsible for establishing and leading the operational risk function including formulating and maintaining the framework and the policies according to the bank's standards from a risk perspective.
Responsibilities:
Lead formulation of the risk appetite for the firm and embedding the risk culture in strategic decisions.
Establishing and maintaining the framework for monitoring and analysing risk, including the supporting data, tools and technology.
Assisting relevant department heads in identifying Key Risk Indicators to identify risks and quantify or indicate warning signs.
Establish the operational risk management strategy, frameworks and limits/tolerances in line with the bank's overall risk while ensuring effective implementation of same in liaison with relevant stakeholders to support effective management of the bank's operations within the defined risk levels.
Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years strong management experience in the banking industry within operational risk management.
Hands on expertise in risk management in the Middle East.
