To support the accounting and control functions of the Department. Responsible for accurate and reliable financial statements and meaningful management information.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements/ information with detailed schedules and reconciliations with detailed explanations for all major variances.
- Prepare/ review individual financial statements/ information, related schedules & reconciliations.
- Prepare variance analysis reports and deal with other various management information requests and provide comprehensive and meaningful management information.
- Actively participate in internal and external audits and provide the necessary support to internal and external auditors.
- Prepare and maintain fixed assets registers for various entities and locations.
- Visit various locations on a periodical basis and review accounting records of the locations to ensure that they are in compliance with approved policies, procedures and controls.
- Assist in accounting system implementations and work closely with IT to improve, change and enhance system capabilities and/or system issues.
- Abide by and adhere to the Company and Department policies & procedures.
- Ensure that adequate procedural controls are in place and improve controls where required, to ensure safeguarding of assets.
- Develop close working relationships with other departments/ locations.
- Assist in coaching team mates.
