We are looking to hire a someone with a passion for good customer service to work in
the shipping, logistics and marine services industry. They will be female and either a fresh
graduate or someone with 1 to 2 years experience working in an English-speaking
customer-facing role.
The Moving Coordinator ensures smooth clearance and delivery of shipments (personal effects) for residential and corporate customers. She will provide customers with complete solutions for customs clearance with timely deliveries and best service.
This person will coordinate shipments,
arrange inspection of shipments, cargo and government approvals, plan and schedule related activities, ensure accuracy of documents, coordinate with airport office/shipping lines/airlines/etc and ensure accurate billing.
Detailed description as follows
- Coordinate and ensure smooth operation of air / sea / road shipments.
- Plan and schedule DO collection, custom clearance delivery for import shipments, offloading, collecting of cargo, customs inspection, collection of AWBs / Bill of Ladings / Airway Bill for export shipments.
- Monitor entire clearance process and ensure timely delivery of shipments.
- Check accuracy of documents for clearance purposes, open job accordingly and process as per customer requirements (import, export, transit, etc.).
- Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers and transporters.
- Send import quotes in consultation with the department head.
- Follow and adhere to FIDI requirements, service delivery procedure, payment and job closure.
- Issue invoice to foreign agents as agreed.
- Carry out other duties as and when required by the department,
- Observe, in all aspects of job, the GAC compliance and ethics policies and maintain up-to-date knowledge of such policies.
