Scope of Work:
The Senior Oracle ADBA will be primarily responsible for managing a stable infrastructure for hosting AUK’s Applications & Databases. The candidate shall work with Application Support team in implementing application changes and provide operational support in managing the database environment. The ADBA will work with other IT teams in the implementation, management and monitoring of all databases related products that support AUK business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities * (Not all inclusive)
• Commission & manage the Oracle platform migration from Windows to Unix.
• Test and deploy essential upgrades on Oracle products and databases.
• Manage space and storage of all databases & related products.
• Manage user access privilege, data integrity, data security and controls.
• Formulate, implement and test a working disaster recovery solution with contingency plan.
• Manage database structures, backups and perform periodic data recovery tests.
• Document changes, update and maintain the data dictionary.
• Automate controls to monitor database & Applications health and initiate correction action.
• Monitor performance and conduct database & applications tuning & optimization.
• Provide usage metrics on database products & related applications for cost saving.
