1.To teach in accordance with school policies and under the direction of the Vice-Principal (Elementary).
2. To incorporate the targets laid down in the School Improvement Plan into planning and carrying out the teaching and learning program.
3. To explore and develop cross-curricular links between the Computer/IT subject and the cores subject areas of English, Math and/or Science.
4. To implement the planned program of academic activities and ensure that:
a. the learning goals (targets) are challenging but attainable by the majority of students;
b. the learning goals (targets) are appropriate and take into account the students’ previous learning;
c. The learning tasks are differentiated, where appropriate, to meet the needs of a mixed ability class of students;
d. key concepts and vocabulary are consistently re-visited to promote better understanding.
5. To display and regularly change students’ work both in the classroom and the hallway.
6. To maintain good student behaviour and to promote the values of respect, responsibility and relationships.
7. To attend staff meetings and training workshops as and when required.
8. To participate in the school’s program of CPD and Performance Management (Teacher Appraisal).
9. To maintain relevant assessment records (formative and summative) and communicate relevant information, where appropriate, to the HRT for inclusion in the Student Profile Record.
10. To prepare quarterly reports detailing individual student progress in the subject area.
11. To take part in Parent-teacher Conferences and other meetings with parents as and when required.
12. To undertake various supervision duties that may be designated by the Vice-Principal and/or the Principal.
