We are looking for an experienced, creative and forward-thinking Chef who is passionate about culinary arts and proficient in all aspects of food preparation. You will be “the chief” and maintain complete control of the kitchen. The ideal candidate for this position will be a natural leader who always has a finger on the pulse of current culinary trends. Responsibilities:
• Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities.
• Responsible for assigning work in the kitchen, preparing meals for our diners and kitchen inventory management
• Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards. Partner with the Sous Chef to come up with delectable new dishes to add to our growing menu.
• Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
• Supervise kitchen staff’s activities, manage and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking and delivering food to diners in a timely fashion
• Rectify arising problems or complaints
• Give prepared plates the “final touch”
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
