The Chief Accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures using ERP applications (MS Dynamics AX/ORACLE/SAP).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Control and monitor full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role: AR, AP, GL, forecasting, budgeting etc.
2. Supervising the accounts team to assure closing of books monthly,quarterly and annually on time
3. Preparing the monthly report requested by the Accounts Manager accurately
4. Assisting the Accounts Manager in day to day accounting operations
5. Support and assist in preparing the financial budgets and applying the same on the systems.
6. Coordinate with the IT team to customize the MS Dynamics AX for more efficient accounting functions
7. Monitor the sales summary and showrooms sales checking and assuring of cash deposits
8. Allocating customs payments to orders as part of costing process
9. Receivables and collection issues (Real-estate tenants, Customer’s collections controlling in all showrooms, other collections)
10. Controlling full cash cycle by performing bank reconciliation for all bank accounts
11. Money laundry and other related governmental requirements (if any)
12. Prepare monthly account reconciliations
13. Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances and cost analysis
14. Responsible for overseeing the month end closing, monthly journal entries (prepare and input) and reconciliations
15. All enquiries and follow up with all banks in Kuwait
16. Maintaining financial records and processing related data such as invoices, vouchers and other documents; monitor and reconcile accounts with detailed financial statements.
17. Analyze financial information and prepare complex financial reports and statements reflecting various data for utilization by higher management.
18. Work consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives
19. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
