Project : Government Project
The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for managing activities associated with planning, scheduling, monitoring, forecasting and analysis. The Planner/Scheduler will have a thorough understanding of the project commercial relationships, scopes of work, schedules and estimates. He/she will work closely with the construction and procurement teams to ensure that the schedule is communicated effectively and that it accurately reflects the work to be undertaken on the project.
Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Responsible for the development of the construction schedule as well as monitoring it during the project’s life-cycle.
- Preparing construction schedules that accurately reflect the scope and work sequence using Primavera P6.
- Coordinating with subcontractors, cost estimators and quantity surveyors during the schedule development to create a realistic schedule.
- Monitor the progress of the project throughout its life.
- Integrate information from the designers, construction, subcontractors and suppliers to create a program master schedule.
- Participate in the development of the design, procurement, construction and subcontractor detailed schedules.
- Undertake schedule risk analysis.
- Coordinate scheduling meetings internal and external.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project status and findings of analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of major civil projects engineering.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Advanced computer knowledge of Primavera P6
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, mainly in Excel.
- Proficient in cost, manpower and equipment resource loaded schedule.
- Excellent problem solving and planning skills.
