I'm in need to hire an expert Filippino Chef (Executive Cook) to handle a new concept of Philipino Restaurant - that will be inaugurated shortly - in Kuwait. Only Local Philippines Nationals are welcomed to apply.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan menus for wide range of cuisine for the restaurants.
- Manage the requisition of products and other necessary food supplies
- Ensure safety, cleanliness and sanitation practices in the kitchen
- Monitor food and labor costs by controlling kitchen stock level to minimize food/ supply waste.
- Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal preparation, cooking and delivering meals in a timely manner.
- Develop standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation.
- Exercise portion control for all items served and assists in establishing menu selling prices.
- Interact with restaurant management to assure that food production consistently exceeds the expectations of guests/ customers.
- In conjunction with F&B team, assist in maintaining a high level of service principles in accordance with established standards.
- Develop Policies/ Procedures (P&P) to enhance and measure quality; continually updates written P&P to reflect “State-of-the-Art” techniques, equipment and terminology.
- Establish & maintain a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment.
- Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
