- Translate incoming instructions from the regulators, legal documents, office letters, laws, agreements, office policies, Bank’s annual report and other documents into English & Arabic.
- Ensure to maintain corporate language in all translated materials.
- Provide assistance to various departments of the Bank - this may include drafting and editing press releases and other similar materials and presenting the same for review purposes.
- Work closely with the Department Head to supervise, control and coordinate the functions of Translation Dept.
- Participate, when required, in the preparation and translation of the Board's various committees' minutes of meetings, handling the contents in strict confidence and presenting the same for the review of the Department’s head .
- Discuss translation requirements with colleagues and identify conflicts related to the meanings of words, concepts and practices along with bringing the same to the attention of the Department Head to agree on the appropriate meanings.
- Compile terminology and information to be used in translations and refer to reference materials such as dictionaries, lexicons, encyclopedias, specialized websites and other sources as research tools throughout the translation process to ensure translation accuracy.
- Transcreating which is a mix of translation, localisation and copywriting, where the text is culturally and linguistically adapted to suit the reader.
