MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Main Purpose:
• Provide clinical, technical and educational expertise in supporting the market development efforts for Diabetes therapies in close conjunction with the Marketing Managers, Sales Managers and Distributer’s Team.
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, provide product support and follow-up, implement bsuiness startiges and tactics to achieve sales targets.
• Be a therapy champion and serve as a liaison for the Diabetes business during the introduction and development of this therapy to the market.
• Communicate developments in techniques and technologies, impact of education programs, competitive activities and customer response back to the Business Unit.
• Liaise across Diabetes business to ensure alignment and overall strategic objectives are being met.
• To practice professional and effective territory management in terms of organisation, administration and inventory management.
• Comply with Medtronic’s Finance and Legal policies and procedures, respond to both Internal and External Audit enquiries in a timely manner, and ensure follow-up on Action Items to address Audit recommendations.
MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Accountabilities
Product Champion
• Be the Medtronic therapy expert and product champion
• Identification and partnering with key centre and hospitals to start and maintain successful Diabetes program.
• Provide on-site therapy tarining for our new patients t and follow-up support in centres
• Work with regional marketing and sales organisations on the execution of effective training and education events
• Develop and maintain knowledge of competitive products and create sales support materials to promote Medtronic products vs. the competition
• Communicate developments in techniques and technologies, impact of education programs, competitive activities, and customer response back to the Business Unit. Coordinate with the therapy project teams to achieve overall business goals.
Customer Education
• Work with regional training & education and marketing teams on the development of training and education materials/tools.
• Train customers on safe and efficacious use of Medtronic Diabetes product.
• Provide technical explanation and demonstration to customers including the Diabetetlogists, Endocrinologists, Diabetes nurse educators and Patients
• Solicit feedback from customers regarding product performance and therapy benefits; relay such feedback to the T&E and Sales team.
• Report product complaints and malfunctions, appropriately and timely following the Medtronic policies
Market Development
• Work closely with the Marketing team in executing strategies needed to meet the business objectives
• Support regional sales management in presenting the technology to potential new customers
• Support product during congresses
Other Accountabilities
• Monitor field and Distributer inventory effectively to ensure appropriate levels of inventory in each location relative to demand
• Complete cycle counts of all required field locations on time and follow up on any missing stock
• Work within and actively promote Medtronic’s Mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.
