Oversees and manages the quality initiatives for Internal Medicine. Works on quality initiatives of other clinical departments on an as needed basis. Monitors standard work, prioritizes and oversees that deliverables are met.
- Responsible for monitoring Top Tier Metrics and other key performance metrics, identifying trends and issues and communicating to the department.
- Utilizing lean methodology, works closely with department supervisors and manager on problem solving, gap analysis, managing experiments, and developing and implementing standard work targeting quality initiatives.
- Assists with updating, monitoring and managing top tier initiative data collection presented on IM MDI boards
- Responsible for managing data trends, issue identification, and reporting to management and the practice on quality program metrics monthly.
- Identifies list management strategies and determines who manages which list for each population including but not limited to AQC and ACO.
- Co-Chairs the Quality and Performance Steering Committee, sets the monthly agenda, manages the meeting, coordinates all necessary follow up actions and distributes meeting summaries.
- Continue to facilitate the practices transformation into a medical home.
- Provides oversight and necessary resources to assist in the practices re-certification process.
- Present various pertinent quality topics and share site level data at the quarterly IM/ Quality Pod meetings.
