Job Purpose
• Support delivery of business objectives through timely and successful delivery of HR policies, processes and procedures.
Job responsibilities
Management
• Line management of HR team (12 staff). Set objectives, monitor and provide feedback on performance, write appraisals, deal with poor performance issues. Responsible for team development.
Workforce planning
• Ensure HR understands the organisation’s current and future workforce needs. Ensure HR management of internal vacancies, staff transfers and promotions and keeping managers informed of vacancy management.
Recruitment
• Deliver sustainable internal and external recruitment campaigns across the organisation. Manage customer relationships with international and local recruitment agencies. Ensure recruitment planning and delivery meets the organisation’s workforce requirements. Ensure successful delivery of end to end external recruitment campaigns.
Government services
• Oversee the smooth and efficient running of visa processing. Responsible for successful management of government relationships to ensure the organisation is up-to-date with new government procedures and requirements on all issues from visa requirements to public holiday changes.
• Ensure efficient and smooth onboarding processes to minimise attrition and provide the best first impressions of the organisation for all new employees. Ensure overseas joiners welcome pack is up-to-date and contains accurate home country visa processing instructions. Ensure the delivery of induction training which enables new staff to understand the organisation’s objectives and their role in supporting the delivery of these in coordination with relevant senior managers.
Accommodation
• Ensure staff accommodation meets workforce needs (numbers, budget, offer to employees). Ensure accommodation policies and procedures are kept up-to-date and all accommodation and assets are maintained to required standards.
Compensation and benefits
• Oversee the successful monthly delivery of payroll by ensuring the operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities, including salary disbursement, overpayment recovery, leave and reporting are accurate and delivered within appropriate timeframes and comply with relevant legislation. Ensure the payroll team provides a responsive, accurate client advisory service on payroll matters. Responsible for overseeing the preparation of annual leave, end of service reports and other compensation and benefits reporting as required by finance department to assist the orgnaisation to meet legislative and statutory obligations.
• Ensure the timely and accurate delivery and administration of employee compensation and benefits policies, processes and procedures such as performance based pay and bonuses.
Employee Data Management
• Responsible for employee data integrity through ensuring that employee data processes and procedures are followed and that the HR team update the employee database and paper files on a regular basis.
Employee Relations
• Ensure HR provides a pragmatic and consistent service for managers and staff on all aspects of employee relations from attendance, conduct, disciplinary, grievance, performance to employee exit/dismissal. Responsible for update and review of HR policies, processes and procedures to ensure alignment with labour law. Ensure that HR manages all employee related casework promptly and accurately in accordance with HR policies and procedures and Kuwait labour law requirements. Ensure the organisation’s performance management policies and procedures are followed consistently. Responsible for benchmarking and administering end of year employee performance evaluation scores.
HR Reporting
• Responsible for providing weekly HR management reports for senior management. Monitoring and reporting HR related KPIs across all aspects of HR.
