Scope:
A Restaurant Manager, is responsible for assisting the manager in directing and organizing the activities and services of food and beverage. Assist in the management of operations to include, but not limited to, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability.
To be the substitute for the Outlet Manager in his absence.
Duties:
- Manage the performance of the service attendants - all Front of House employees during shifts in the absence of the Outlet Manager.
- Training on new menus and supporting the outlet where necessary.
- Attending to guest complaints and managing a smooth relationship with the kitchen to ensure that guest satisfaction is maximized at all times.
- Being the first point of contact for the guests to ensure that guest complaints are dealt with in a consistent and fair manner & adherence to all company Cash handling Procedures.
- Staff scheduling in order to keep the department properly manned at all times.
- Hold daily meeting with the staff to review the daily operation, and to discuss past performance that can be improved.
- To make sure that hygiene standards are strictly followed as per the operating manual.
- To ensure that all standards set for food presentation, quality and quantity are met.
- To maintain records were any pertinent information like revenue, accident, incident or complains is listed
- To ensure that all company policies with regards to operating equipment are fully implemented and followed in coordination with the Head Chef in order to reduce breakage and losses.
- Responsible for the department smooth operation on a daily basis
- To control wastage and contribute to cost saving measures.
- To ensure full adherence to company policies and procedures and operating legalities
- To train and develop the service staff and help to improve the service standard.
