Position overview:
The Rental Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies for the Rental Department, under the leadership of the Chief Executive Officer.
The Rental Sales Manager will be responsible for maximizing company profits by forecasting and increasing rental sales, ensuring all the set sales objectives are met, maintaining excellent customer relationship with company agents and suppliers, building rapport with peers, subordinates and supervisors and by increasing the productivity of the staff through effective utilization of company systems and resources.
Responsibilities:
- Develop annual and monthly sales forecasts and implements sales techniques and plans
to increase sales in public and corporate sector.
- Conduct and analyze market surveys to increase market share by launching suitable
marketing strategies
- Develop and implement annual business plan for the department
- Responsible for achieving and exceeding the planned volumes and profit in rental sales
- Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction addressing complaints and
resolving problems.
- Develop a proactive plan for retaining existing customers, enhancement of relationships and penetrating into new markets
- Increase sales by maximizing customer satisfaction through excellent service and promotional activities
- Supervise all sales efforts and monitor existing contracts ensuring that all contract terms and conditions are met timely
- Manage all activities such as vehicle pricing/ quotations preparation and submission, negotiation with customers and attend business meetings
- Verify vehicle purchase orders and ensure that all quantity and specifications are in line with contract specifications
- Oversee personnel matters which include interviewing, hiring, and training employees;
planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;
- Build and maintain strong contractual relationships with customers, suppliers and
supporting operational teams for managing the services being delivered and resolve contractual issues
- Build good relationship with vehicle dealers and suppliers and negotiate to get best offer prices in the market
- Ensure that all vehicles are insured and cancellation of insurance policies for all sold vehicles on a timely basis
- Ensure that all vehicles delivered and returned are in excellent condition
- Ensure to maintain fleet utilization ratio within present targets
- Maintain accurate records of paperwork necessary
- Ensure timely, accurate and documented customer invoicing processes associated with
necessary documentation to guarantee payments on monthly basis.
- Set individual objectives for each key position and ensure that they are achieved within the targeted time.
- Ensure that the guidelines and rules are implemented and respected.
