- HW Troubleshooting/installation - PC Maintenance
- Essential functions involves installing, securing, repairing and maintaining district-wide LAN, WLAN and WAN applications, file/database and Web Servers
- Ensures data and network security at all times; managing user access and maintaining related records
- Administers systems and servers related to LAN and WAN (email systems, accounts, print queue, IP assignments, VOIP, network, security, antivirus, spyware, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of services to authorized users.
- Be familiar with all hardware and software (CCTV, Finger print and time attendance, POS (Point of Sale), IP Telephony..
- Windows Server installation & configuration.
- Supports the network lead in configuring and defining parameters for installation or testing of local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), hubs, routers, switches, or related networking equipment.
- Helps in configure security settings or access permissions for groups or individuals.
- Troubleshoots malfunctions of network hardware and/or software applications within the District’s local and wide area networks, telephones, Finger print and security systems (. servers, hubs, routers, network protocols, etc.) for the purpose of resolving operational issues and restoring services.
- Supports the Network lead in evaluating networks (local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN)) performance data to ensure sufficient availability or speed, to identify network problems, or for disaster recovery purposes .
- Supports Network Lead in identifying the causes of networking problems, using diagnostic testing software and equipment
- Installs new hardware or software systems or components, ensuring integration with existing network systems.
- Develops and /or update technical documentation for network installations or changes to existing installations.
- Provides recommendations about accessing information and support to the network lead and suggests on improving the performance.
- Maintain log and/or list of network activities.
- Researches hardware or software products to meet technical networking or security needs.
- Monitors security of all technology
- Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate.
- Ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal.
