Description
Key areas of accountability will include: Regulatory Economics, TRA Engagement and Strategic Planning, with the Head of Regulatory Economics and Tariffs being required to:
- Evaluate and Analyze the TRA framework & bylaws and creation of the in-house regulatory framework and process for the CITRA handling (create the comparison of GCC TRA'S responsibility matrix and best practice areas.- Evaluate & study the compliance of the telecom services, products, offers and promotions.- Evaluate tariffing and pricing criteria of the of the internal proposed tariff and rate changes & provide market benchmarks and feasibility studies.- Review, evaluate and analyze the cost impact of the telecom charges, tariff changes /caps and the new telco licenses or services expected charges /taxation.- Provide & conduct the business rules of the competition /anti competition guidelines.- Other duties as required.
Profile
- Bachelor degree in Engineering /Business/ Legal or related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognized professional institute.- 8+ years professional experience with regulatory submissions for Telecommunication Business.- Knowledge of Business legislation, Telecommunication regulatory environment, Telecommunication Regulatory Authority, Telecommunications sector requirements.- Ability to operate in a diverse multicultural, multinational work environment, exhibiting appropriate sensitivities.- Good knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, Word etc.- Excellent command of both written and verbal Arabic and English.- Candidates resident and working in Oman or Bahrain will be preferred.
Job Offer
Circa 3,000 KWD plus annual flights and medical insurance.
