Participates in and supervises general accounting. Principal Accountabilities: • Reviews current account activity, including transactions monthly reconciliations and balances for the subsidiaries. • Monitors fixed assets including additions and transfers from work in progress to fixed assets accounts and register. • Oversees accounts payable for local suppliers, including suppliers balance reconciliations, sign off on suppliers’ cheques, weekly supplier payments. • Reviews monthly payroll, sign off on employee payments and deductions. • Supervises closing of monthly and year-end accounts. • Responsible for accounting of monthly and quarterly store inventory counts. Reviews work of the assigned accounting team. Reports to: Accounting Manager Decisions/Authority Levels:
- Adjustments to journal entries.
- Posting to general Ledgers.
- Closing of accounts.
- Payment approvals.
