PRIMARY JOB PURPOSE:
Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES: (not limited to the following):
- Prepare monthly and annual statutory financial reports for the management.
- Prepare various MIS reports and ensure they are updated and submitted as per deadlines.
- Provide advice and guidance to finance team to assist them in meeting their reporting
obligations in the most efficient manner.
- Manage the monthly review of accounts to ensure all major balances are reconciled and books of account are appropriately updated.
- Control budget utilization from a legal and financial point of view.
- Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
- Monitors compliance with International Standard of Accounting (IAS’s) and company procedures.
- Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Summarize financial status by collecting information; prepare balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
- Perform bank account transfers as directed by CEO.
- Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
- Coordinate activities of External Auditors.
- Secure financial information by completing database backups.
- Supervise the stock take to verify inventory volume and variance analysis.
- Annual Budget and monthly variance analysis.
- Analyze transactional processes and identify areas where additional accuracies and efficiencies can be achieved.
- Responsible for knowing critical functions within the department and capable of mentoring and assisting employees within the department.
- Review all financial contracts, terms & conditions.
- Trend Analysis of revenue to forecast cash inflows.
- Report, analyze, and ensure integrity of all financial information.
